CH Carolina Herrera Spring Collection 2016!

Mrs Herrera started Carolina Herrera New York in 1981 and in 2001, CH Carolina Herrera was formed as a lifestyle brand offering ready-to-wear and accessories for men, women and kids.

“Born and raised in Venezuela, Carolina Herrera was exposed from early on to international culture and fashion. At age 13, her grandmother took her to Paris to see the Cristobal Balenciaga haute couture show. As she elegantly puts it: “My eye was accustomed to see beautiful things”.

Renowned for her impeccable elegance and timeless style, Carolina Herrera was considered in the 1980s one of the best-dressed women in the world. As a true empress of style and artistic muse she inspired pop-art icon Andy Warhol and was photographed by the world’s most celebrated photographers.

Carolina Herrera presented her first capsule in New York in 1981 with encouragement of Diana Vreeland, legendary Vogue Editor-in-Chief. The very first runway show was held at Metropolitan Club, a New York City landmark and institution. The first collection was met with great editorial acclaim and commercial success. Hence, the Fashion House of Carolina Herrera was born.” Source: http://www.marinabaysands.com/shopping/ch-carolina-herrera.html

I was excited to be invited by Elle Singapore for this Spring collection launch after looking so many of CH designs. Donning in a colourful long floral dress, I was all ready for the fashion show later.

This was the first bag that caught my eye as its a customised collection from the bag to the wallets. The huge alphabets could be customised to your name initial.

This is one area beside the huge alphabet that you could put yout name down too.

“C” happens to be my name initial and I happily posed with the bag. I would think this would make a wonderful weekend bag for the kids and a shopping spree bag too!  How do you think this bag looked on me?

I was attracted by this colourful panel of scarves and bags. I was particularly attracted by this BIMBA collection which comes with 7 different materials and design all with the same size. I loved almost each one of them and thought each ladies would love a different bags each day and this would be the perfect solution. Gold is everlasting, yellow brings freshness and happiness, red brings sexiness, white is classic and elegant, black would never go wrong … Plus match it with the lovely colourful scarves right behind me would enhance any simple dress that you are wearing. Talk about exuding confidence with colours.

This is absolutely one of my personal favorite as red is my colour!

Not forgetting the smart casual collection for the guys!

With its signature CH embroidery at the collar leaving an impression for anyone who spot this.

Renowned fashion stylist, Furqan Saini was showcasing the collection that plays with texture, volume, color and print perfect for a global lifestyle that demands wardrobe options for day to night and everything in between. I love how he engages the audience and passionate on what he do.

The fashion show began with Furqun giving tips on the different ways of wearing. This green set sets loads of energy and movement and complimented nicely against the fairness of the model. I love how her shoulders were subtle revealed.

The playful print brought out a casual and weekend look while adding colour to the cheeks.

Classic houndstooth suitable for office setting and could be worn buttoned up or without the jacket.

Exuding subtle sexiness when buttoned up…

Black and white could never go wrong with feminine bold floral long jacket adding a touch of elegance with a clutch.

Another casual yellow and blue floral sleeveless with heels adding a chic look for the weekend.

This was one of my personal favorite! This set would definitely steal the show off with the flowy bring yellow prints and the translucent white shirt added a clean sophistication.

Right after the fashion show, I was too tempted not to try on anything. I picked up this red low back dress with huge pockets at the side and tried this couple post with Furqan.

More shopping…

Together with Cheryl Foong (PR Manager from Mercury PR), Elaine Heng (Blogger), Simone Ng (Simone Jewels), Cindy Kwah (Country Manager of Carolina Herrara), myself and Furqan Saini (Fashion Stylist).

Thank you Carolina Herrera for your kind gift in my favorite colour.

I would be wearing this very soon!
